Juggling with Razor blades! Kinds of Stupid? DC GOLD AUDIO utilizes an aluminum / magnesium foil that when treated becomes the cone. They are coated, cut and assembled by us in house. The metal is very thin and trying to get them cut just right is tricky. We always do, but not always the metal – sometimes a finger or two. A slight nick here, a scratch there; it is what it takes to put together with one of the thinnest metallic membrane drivers on the planet. Would we want it any other way? Fingers aside - NO; our speakers sound amazing because of the low mass cone, special spider-less suspension. Together with other parts I will delve into later, we CRACK the code of what make a great loudspeaker. That might sound overstated, but we always have fun exploring the parts, the assembly and all possible outcomes so we can achieve the sound we want - a great sounding system!
